MUMBAI: Bollywood actor-director Farhan Akhtar exchanged wedding vows with long-time girlfriend Shibani Dandekar on February 19, with close friends, family, and several members from the industry in attendance, at Khandala. Farhan and Shibani had been dating for around four years. Farhan and Shibani’s beautiful wedding ceremony was attended by Rhea Chakraborty, Satish Shah, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Ritesh Sidhwani.

Now, in an interview with a news portal, Farhan opened up on his relationship with Shibani and took a trip down memory lane recalling his first ever date with her. Calling it ‘awkward and quiet’, Farhan shared, they could hear the sound made by them using the cutlery on their table.

He said he wasn’t talking at all and Shibani on the other hand had run out of all topics in her head.

In 2015, Farhan and Shibani met for the first time on the sets of a television show, where Farhan was a host and Shibani was a contestant. They made their dating official in 2018, and their adorable display of affection for each other, give us major relationship goals.

Recently, Farhan shared a candid moment from their wedding on Instagram, writing, "Tum hastee raho bas yuhin main yuhin bas dekhta rahoon" (you keep laughing like this, and I will keep gazing at you like this).

Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan will be taking over the directorial reins once again for his upcoming film, ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. The actor-filmmaker has managed to bring together actors like Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif for the first time in the film.
