MUMBAI: The SSR case has given major twists and turns by every passing day, recently post the actor’s father filed an FIR against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty under various sections, Rhea hired celebrity criminal lawyer Satish Maneshinde to fight her case at the court of law. But that's not it, there's more to Maneshinde. For the uninitiated, apart from handling Rhea Chakraborty's case, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde is currently handling Dharma's former employee Kshitij Prasad's case in the drug nexus case. Not many know but Maneshidne is representing Kshitij after his name popped up during interrogation of one of the drug peddlers nabbed by the NCB. But that's not it, Mr Satish has handled quite a few high-profile cases and more in the past.

Maneshinde is considered to be one of the top criminal celebrity lawyers. Maneshinde practised civil and criminal law and handled cases of politicians, actors and other celebrities. Before handling Rhea Chakraborty's case, reportedly, Satish was the one who was Sanjay Dutt’s defence lawyer in the 1993 Mumbai Blasts case and got him bail. Maneshinde defended the actor when he was charged for possessing illegal weapons and violating the Arms Act in 2007.

Other than handling high profile celebrity cases, he also handled high profile criminal cases. Reportedly, Maneshinde also represented Rakhi Sawant in an abetment to suicide case.

Satish Maneshinde is considered to be one of the most expensive lawyers. According to a Bollywood Life report, Maneshinde charges Rs 10 lakh a day for representations. He is currently being hired by Rhea Chakraborty who has also been accused of wrongful confinement and theft. The Enforcement Directorate had to file a money laundering case against Rhea and her family after seeing financial irregularities in Sushant's bank accounts. 

However, in an interview, Rhea denied such allegations but contradicting her statements, Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti shared the video of Rhea and captioned it as, "You are worried about how you will be paying 17,000 in EMI, please tell me how are you paying the most expensive lawyer of India you have hired?? #RheaTheLiar"

For now, Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty are being arrested by NCB for their alleged link with drugs. The road to the conclusion of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is quite long as of now.
