MUMBAI: Fans of Ranbir Kapoor are in awe of his talent, and ever since his role in the rom-com Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, fans have wanted to see him in a similar role. In 2019, fans' prayers were answered, when filmmaker Luv Ranjan announced his next directorial was slated to be a rom-com starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The film is expected to release in 2023, and is one of the most anticipated films. Even so, the makers of the movie have not revealed many details about the film, even till now. Although there have been many speculations about the name of the film, it hasn’t been confirmed. But now finally, the makers are ready to reveal the name of the upcoming film.

A media portal revealed that director Luv Ranjan is set to reveal the title of the much-anticipated romantic comedy in a special announcement video next week. A source close to the making of the film revealed, “It’s the festive season, wherein the audience is in the mood to celebrate. Luv and his team feel that this is the best time to introduce the audience to the title of his film and also plaster the release date of the film in the mind of the audience. He has shot a special video to announce the film title, and it’s expected to be out by early next week.”

The digital launch of the video will take place early next week, but the video will also be screened in theatres, along with one the biggest worldwide releases, Avatar: The Way Of Water. The source further added, saying, “Avatar is among the biggest releases of world cinema and is expected to attract crazy footfalls. The announcement video will be screened with Avatar at several properties.” He further added that the video will also be played in theatres for the Christmas 2022 release, Cirkus.

The music of the film is composed by Pritam, and the film is slated to be a 8th March 2023 release, coinciding with the festive of Holi. Concluding his statement, the source said, “The announcement video will be followed by a series of other conventional assets, which includes the teaser, trailer, and music, leading to the film’s release. Much like all rom-coms led by Ranbir, this one too rides on a solid music album, and the makers are confident to strike the chord with all their assets, including the album.”

The upcoming untitled film is the first time that Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will be collaborating. Some of the leaked stills of the movie have already grabbed everyone’s attention and brought in a level of excitement among the audience. In an interview with a media portal, actor Ranbir Kapoor shared his excitement about the upcoming Luv Ranjan directorial and labelled it to be a film riding high on humour. This film will also mark the acting debut of filmmaker Boney Kapoor, who will be paired alongside actress Dimple Kapadia.
