Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed and SRK

Shah Rukh Khan’s comment on ‘intolerance’ towards creativity and religion hurting India was panned by senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. The super star was accused to be an Indian with a Pakistani soul.

If this controversy shook Twitter, 2008 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saaed added fuel to fire by inviting Shah Rukh Khan to Pakistan. He tweeted, "Any such Muslim, even Shah Rukh who is facing difficulty and discrimination in India because of Islam are invited to stay in Pakistan (Sic)”

SRK, while participating in a twitter Q/A with Rajdeep Sardesai, spoke about the growing intolerance in the country and how speaking about secularism is the biggest mistake a patriot can make in India. "If there is intolerance to creativity, intolerance through religion, we are taking away every step that the nation is taking forward," he said.

His comment attracted many leaders, including Vijayvargiya who called SRK anti-national, whose heart is in Pakistan. He aslo tweeted how despite Khan’s movie raking in crores of rupees at the box office, the star was calling India intolerant.

He fired of another tweet that took pot shots at SRK’s absence during Mumbai attacks. "When hundreds of people died in the 1993 blast in Mumbai, then where was Shah Rukh Khan. When Mumbai was attacked on 26/11, where was Shah Rukh Khan?”

This war or words gave birth to the twitter hashtage #KailashVijayvargiyaLeaveIndia, where Shah Rukh’s die-hard fans came out in his support.
