Not just in acting, but Shreyas Talpade is also a fabulous director. The actor debuted as a director in Bollywood with the Hindi remake of his Marathi movie ‘Poshter Boys’.

Shreyas Talpade never fails to entertain the audience and is still known for his movies like Iqbal and Golmaal. Not a lot of people know about this, but in the Hindi version of the movie Pushpa starring Allu Arjun, the voice of Pushpa was Shreyas Talpade.

This time, Shreyas Talpade is back with another upcoming movie titled ‘Kartam Bhugtam’ which stars Shreyas Talpade along with Vijay Raaz.

The movie will be directed by Soham P. Shah and it is sure to take you into the realms of astrology and karma. The movie will be released on May 17th.

In an exclusive interview with Shreyas Talpade prior to the release of his new film, Kartam Bhugtam, in theaters, the versatile actor opened up on how he silenced all outside noise when offered the opportunity to dub for Allu Arjun, despite being a popular actor himself, in the Hindi version of Pushpa.

Shreyas Talpade said, “Main ye ek baat bohot pehle se seekh gaya tha, Iqbal ke waqt I remember jab mujhe Iqbal jaisi film mili tab maine ye baat khushi Khushi apne 2-4 doston ke saath share ki thi ke dekho Iqbal jaisi film. ‘Acha acha kya baat kar raha hai? Heroine kaun hai?’ Maine kaha heroine koi nahi hai. ‘Tere gaane kitne hai?’ Gaane wane nahi hai ‘Dance wane kar raha hai ki nahi?’ Maine kaha gaana hi nahi hai toh dance kahaan se karunga. ‘Ye kaunsi film hai? Toh mat lab kya kar rahah hai?’ Maine kaha nahi main bol nahi sakta mani bol nahi sakta. ‘Tu pagal hai? Tu aisi picture kyu kar rahah hai?’ I said mere ko kaun lega? Hero ban ke mujhe kaun lega Hindi film mein? Main theatre karne wala insaan hu. So yeh role hai yaar character dekho. ‘Arey bhaad mein gaya. Hindi picture hai kya character aur role, tu hero hai toh dialogue hone chahiye, heroine honi chahiye, gaane hone chahiye’ To maine kaha ke aisa kuch bhi nahi hai. That is the time when I stopped telling people ke main kya kar rahah hu. Fir uske baad maine baat hi nahi ki. Fir seedha shooting karne chala gaya Hyderabad. Maine shoot ki. Film jab release hui, tab sab ne dekha ke arey ye tune kab ki? Maine bola bas abhi abhi kar ke aaya hoon. So uss waqt se maine thaan liya tha bhai zyada na discuss nahi karna chahiye. Jo kaam aapko sahi lage, aap jao, karo, baat khatam. That is exactly what happened with Pushpa also. I mean, Manish bhai called me aisi film hai Pushpa, aapko karni hai? Maine kaha ke haa main try karta hoon. Film dekhi, achi lagi, maine dub kar di. Baat khatam.”

When asked if he is done with the dubbing of Pushpa 2, he said, “Nahi abhi nahi. Abhi shuru karni baaki hai. It’ll take time.”
