Karan Johar's Shuddhi has turned into a big conundrum. No one knows what exactly is happening with the project. And with Karan steadfastly refusing to comment on the topic, no one really has any inkling about the status of the film. Never before has any of Karan Johar's movies found itself mired in any controversy as Shuddhi finds itself in. The movie seems perpetually jinxed with one star after another exiting it in quick succession. Shuddhi which was touted to bring back ex-lovers Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan back on screen, found itself left in a lurch after first Kareena and then Hrithik officially exited the project. Since then rumours of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone being approached have been doing strong rounds. After Deepika told us last time that she has not yet been approached for the role, today a reluctant Karan mentioned that he has not yet finalised any one yet as the starcast. Refusing to take any questions on Shuddhi, Karan remained mum when we quizzed him. Finally after much probing, the acclaimed filmmaker said that neither Ranveer nor Deepika has been cast yet for the movie. With so much secrecy surrounding the movie, we really wonder what's up Karan's sleeve this time. Why is Karan holding his cards close to his chest? As per sources, Karan Johar is planning to cast SRK as the lead but official confirmation on the same was not available. Perhaps, Karan is waiting for the right time to make the big announcement.
