MUMBAI: Shahid Kapoor shone with the biggest blockbuster and the finest performance of his career through Kabir Singh in 2019. Being an official remake of 2017 telugu blockbuster 'Arjun reddy' , the romantic drama featured Shahid as the titular role Kabir Singh along with Kiara Advani. Everything about the film- from the delicate performances of the actors, the direction and the music- was immensely lauded and appreciated all over so much that it became a cult film. 

Recently Shahid Kapoor termed it as an emotional arc and poured his love for the film on social media on the occasion of the film's one year anniversary. One of the reasons the film is a blockbuster is the soulful and heart wrenching music it showcased.

There is another reason now to celebrate the movie's hit as the music album of the film has recently crossed the 1 Billion mark on a leading music platform. This is not only a remarkable achievement but also a proof that people are still madly in love with the soulful music of the film.

Meanwhile, the lyrics of the songs are the go-givers that were exceptionally written by Irshad Kamil, Manoj Muntashir, Mithoon and Kumaar as they bring in beautiful meaning to the soulful music
