MUMBAI : The remake season is back. Drishyam 2 has been doing well at the box office, and the teaser of Bholaa and Shehzada was released today. The teaser of Shehzada was a treat for Kartik Aaryan’s fans as it’s his birthday today. But, there’s a section of people on social media who are not happy with the teaser as the movie is a remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
 
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo was released in 2020 and was a blockbuster at the box office. It starred Allu Arjun, Tabu, and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. Many netizens feel that Shehzada is just a frame-to-frame copy of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and the South star’s swag is unmatchable.

A netizen tweeted, “#Shehzada - #KartikAaryan didn't  match the real #Bunty (#AlluArjun). Pls don't spoil the originality in the film. #AlluArjun's style and swag is unmatchable.” Check out the tweets below…

In 2022, all the remakes have failed to make a mark at the box office except Drishyam 2. Now, let’s see what response Shehzada will get at the box office. The movie is slated to release in February 2023.
 
Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar. Manisha will be stepping into Tabu’s shoes for the remake. Earlier, the movie was slated to release in November this year, but later it was postponed to Feb 2023.

Apart from Shehzada, Kartik will be seen in Freddy, Satyaprem Ki Katha, Captain India, and Kabir Khan’s next. Freddy is slated to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 2nd December 2022.
