MUMBAI: In Chennai, Meera, the daughter of Tamil actor Vijay Antony, was discovered dead on Tuesday. She was reportedly dealing with depression, according to certain media reports. In response to his daughter's death, the actor later issued a statement.

Vijay Antony expressed his sadness on the death of his daughter on Twitter on Thursday. The actor wrote a heartfelt letter that began, “Dears, My daughter Meera was very loving and brave. She has now gone to a peaceful place where caste, religion, money, envy, pain, poverty, and hatred are better than this world. She is talking to me. I died with her. I now live for her. All the good things I will do now, I do in her name. Yours Vijay Antony.”

Additionally, online users expressed their condolences for the actor's daughter's death. One of them commented, “Sir no words to express. Hope god gives full strength to you.”

Another one wrote, “Sir! your loss cannot be described in words! Our Condolences To Your Daughter. But For Sure We Will Always Be With You.” Another fan commented, “She will be with you! Don’t lose hope in life and be disheartened bro. Your happiness will be her happiness, not your sadness. Very difficult to digest.”

Meera was a 12th-grade student in a private school in Chennai. Her body was sent for a post-mortem examination for an inquiry. Meanwhile, celebrities mourned her death on social media.

Actor Sarathkumar mentioned, "The news of the untimely and unfortunate demise of Meera, the daughter of @vijayantony and Fatima is shocking beyond imagination. No amount of consoling and condolences can replace the everlasting grief of Vijay Antony and Fatima. Vijay, I hope the almighty give strength to your family to bear this unfathomable loss. May her soul rest in peace #RIPMeera (sic)."

Raghava Lawrence wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of your daughter, May her soul rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, @vijayantony sir.. I pray Raghavendra Swamy to give more strength to you and your family in these tough times (sic).”
