MUMBAI: The Mahesh Manjrekar directed Antim: The Final Truth went on the floors in November with Aayush Sharma running around on the streets of Pune in his gangster avatar. 

A couple of weeks later, Salman Khan, who plays a Sikh cop in the gangster drama, joined the sets and ever since then, the duo has been shooting for the film non-stop at some real locations in Mumbai, at studios and also in the outskirts of the city. 

Now, South Indian actress Pragya Tyagi has come on-board as the female lead of Antim alongside Salman Khan. It would mark her Bollywood debut. “She has been shooting silently for the last few days with the entire team of Antim and was also a part of the Mahabaleshwar schedule. She plays’ Salman’s lady love and the two will also have a romantic song in the film.”, revealed a source close to the development. 

Pragya Jaiswal is a known name down south having won the best debutant for the Krish directed period drama, Kanche. At present, she is also the main lead of Balakrishna’s 106th film, which is yet to get a title and is rumoured to be a part of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming period drama as well.

Apart from Pragya, who is paired alongside Salman, the film also features television actress Mahima Makwana, who will play Aayush Sharma’s lady love. 

“The shoot is going on in full swing, and the team is looking to wrap up the film by mid-February and get it ready for a release in the second half of 2021.”, the source signed off. 

The movie is the official adaptation of Marathi hit Mulshi Pattern. It also features Nikitin Dheer and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles. Varun Dhawan too is a part of the film in a special appearance as the actor will appear shaking his legs with Salman and Aayush in a 'Ganpati' song.
