MUMBAI: While Ghulam was not Rani Mukerji’s debut movie, it was this movie that gave her recognition as an actor. It was her first film with Aamir Khan. Rani joined the big league with this film, which went on to win both the critics and audience. In fact, to date, Rani–Aamir’s Aati Kya Khandala remains one of Bollywood’s most popular songs.

In a recent interview with a leading online entertainment portal, the actress confessed how Aamir Khan’s rude behavior had once broken her heart. She also said that she was a huge fan of Aamir and Juhi Chawla.

According to Rani, when she had visited the sets of her family-owned studio, Filmalay, as a kid, the actress had carried an autograph book. Aamir was filming for Love Love Love. Rani confessed that she had specially decorated the autograph book with a heart and written ‘Dearest Aamir’ on it.

However, on reaching the sets, Juhi greeted her with the warmest smile, hugged her, and even doled out a special autograph for the little girl. Aamir, who was engrossed in the shoot of an action sequence, wasn’t as pleasant. He grabbed her autograph book, signed it, and returned the book.

Rani trolls Aamir even now and ensured that she confronted her Ghulam star about his ‘dismissive’ behavior. Rani also asked Aamir if he was nice to his fans.

Over the years, things have changed, and now, Aamir is one of her closest friends in the industry. However, things were different while they were shooting for Ghulam together. Apparently, Rani was so shy that she couldn’t look into the hero’s eyes while filming the Aankhon Se Tune song.

Rani has come a long way since and has established herself as one of the finest actress the industry has. The Black actress credits the two Khans, Aamir and Shah Rukh, for this. She is one of the few actors who has worked with all three Khans and shares a good friendship with the trio.
