MUMBAI: It’s time to cut a cake and pop champagne as today happens to be the birthday of talented actor Tanmay Vekaria, who is known for his portrayal as Bagha in TV’s popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Due to lockdown, Tanmay is celebrating his birthday at home with his family.

In an exclusive chat with us, Tanmay shared, “My family is making my birthday special as they have baked a cake for me. I am glad that I am with my family and celebrating my birthday with them. I am quite happy as since last night I have been showered with tons of wishes from fans.”

When asked who wished him first from his Taarak Mehta team, he replied, Bapuji aka Amit Bhatt wished me first this early morning at 6.15am.”

A gift that he wants his birthday? “No materialtic gift just praying that we all sail through this tough time and get back to our normal lives soon. Also, praying to God for our frontline warriors like doctors, police and scientists for their well-being.”
