MUMBAI: Yesterday, the entire entertainment industry woke up to the most shocking news of Sushant Singh Rajput passing away as the actor committed suicide at his residence in Bandra. 

The news sent shockwaves in Bollywood as well as the television industry. The reason why the actor took such a drastic step is still unknown. Apparently, there is news doing the rounds that the actor was suffering from depression past six months. 

The actor had grabbed headlines for his rumoured relationship with Kirti Sanon when the two had worked together in the movie Raabta.

Writer Suhrita Sengupta, a close associate of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt in whose company Suhrita met Sushant for the last time has made some shocking revelations. 

The writer said that it was the same case as Praveen Babi, and this was said by Mahesh Bhatt who saw the deteriorating mental condition and had advised Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakravarty to leave. 

This happened when Sushant had come to meet the director for a possible role in Sadak 2 and the two hit off instantly, Sushant was a talker. He held forth on every topic under the sun.  

Bhatt Saab had identified the problem as he had seen it in Parveen Babi and he knew there was nothing that could be done except medication. Rhea who stuck on in spite of  Sushant’s rapid descent into depression tried her best to ensure that Sushant would take his medication. But he refused, and without medication his depression got worse.  

He further stated that Sushant had cut of the entire industry, and Rhea was with him until she couldn’t take it longer. There was a time when the actor could hear voices. He began to feel people were trying to kill him. One day an Anurag Kashyap film was playing in Sushant’s home and he told Rhea, ‘I said no to an offer from Kashyap. Now he’s going to come to kill me.’ That’s when Rhea was too frightened to stay with Sushant any longer. 

Rhea heard no voice, but it was Bhatt saab who told her there was nothing she could do, and if she styed on . Rhea waited for Sushant’s sister to come to Mumbai and take charge. Sushant’s sisters tried their best to support and comfort him. But he was beyond listening to anyone. He wouldn’t take his medication 

When she couldn't take any more, Rhea called it quits and left Sushant all by himself. 

Sushant was left all alone to fight his inner demons but the actor at last gave up and left too soon.  

His demise has brought awareness in all to look out for your loved ones and be with them when needed.
