MUMBAI : Mahesh Bhatt, who is known for helming many Bollywood films, recently grabbed headlines for the wrong reasons. After Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, the filmmaker hit the headlines as his alleged WhatsApp conversation with actress Rhea Chakraborty on June 8 was revealed. Mahesh Bhatt has been facing criticism since, and has been at the end of extreme backlash on social media.

The filmmaker has four kids- he has two daughters Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt with Soni Razdan, while Pooja Bhatt and son Rahul Bhatt with Kiran Bhatt. Rahul Bhatt had once opened up about his relationship with his father, and said that Mahesh Bhatt never treated him like his own child.

In an old interview with Times Of India, Rahul Bhatt said, “My father Mahesh Bhatt never treated me like his own child. It’s the raw uncut truth about my relationship with my father. Perhaps if Mr Mahesh Bhatt had been a father to me I wouldn’t have got into the friendship with Headley.”

He added, “I maintain my father has always been indifferent to me. He has always treated me like a bast*rd. I felt like Andy Garcia in The Godfather 3.”
