SHOCKING: Rohan Gandotra lost some projects due to THIS reason

Rohan Gandotra is a popular actor in the telly world. In an interview, he made some shocking revelations.

MUMBAI: Rohan Gandotra is a popular actor in the telly world.

Known for his acting chops and good looks, he has been part of several TV projects. He has acted in shows such as Qubool Hai, Naagin 2, Dil Se Dil Tak, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, among others.

In the ongoing pandemic, social media emerged to be the most handy tool for people from all walks of life, especially actors. However, the downside is that an actor’s popularity is gauged only by the number of followers on their social media handle. Talking about the same, Rohan Gandotra told Times of India, “In the past, I have lost a few projects because I didn’t have enough followers on social media and it’s very disheartening and discouraging. This has been happening in the industry even with experienced artists."

Further, the actor added, "I’m not very active on social media and have always believed that an actor’s talent must define him and not by the number of followers on his/her social media handles. Now, I have started pushing myself to be active on social media. Initially, rejections on this basis would disappoint me but now rather than fighting it, I’m trying to adapt with these new norms.” He was last seen in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka (2019) post which the actor was seen in a drama series on an OTT platform. Talking about getting back to TV, the actor says, “After my last show ended in 2019, I wasn’t getting any interesting TV offers but towards the end of the year I took up an OTT project.”

“However, after the first unlock phase last year, I did get a show but I was scared of working in the new environment and thought of waiting for something. Now I have mentally prepared to get back to a daily show,” added the actor.
