MUMBAI: Hrishikesh Pandey has been a quintessential part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the actor opened up on his character and experience shooting for the show. Hrishikesh shared, “It has been a lovely experience because I really like Rajan Shahi, reason being that we did a show many years ago which was produced by Dipti Bhatnagar and Mr. Rajan Shahi directed it. It was a romantic show so we had a lovely association. He’s a wonderful person and again we associated for another show I was doing with Mr Ravi Chopra with BR films. There also Mr Rajan Shahi was there. When all of a sudden he called me and told me he has a character which was meant for an actor like me, I did not even ask him what it was and instantly gave my nod. I think it was a wonderful gesture and we have had a lovely time in whatever we were shooting. I have never done absolutely negative roles and when you are pitched against your lead characters obviously the audience will react in different way so I got a lovely response too.”
When asked about his bond with his co-actors, Hrishikesh averred, “Ashita Dhawan has been a lovely co-artist. For that matter even Shivangi Joshi. I had a lovely time with everyone on the set. They both are hard working and the best part of both of them is that they are humble and that is their basic nature. They both take their jobs seriously and their grounded personality is applaud worthy.”
Talking about his association with DKP, Hrishikesh expressed, “I want to thank Rajan Shahi that even he thought of that like getting a character like mine. He is presenting some of the best shows on Indian Television.”
