Guddi Maruti to play comic vamp

Guddi Maruti who is currently acting in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat will now be seen in a negative act in an upcoming show on Sony. As reported earlier, Maninder who played Juhi Chawla and Manoj Bajpai's son in the film Swami, will be seen in the lead role. Debutant Jayshree will play the female lead. Other actors in the show are Pankaj Dheer, Neelu Kohli and Rinku Ghosh. A well placed source from the show informed, “This new show on Sony which is tentatively titled Bandhini also has Guddi Maruti. She is playing the protagonist’s bua, Nanhi Singh. Though her role is a negative one, it would also tickle the funny bones of the viewers. Madhavi Gogate who played Rajeev Khandelwal’s mother in Kahiin Toh Hoga is also acting in the show.” The source further added, “This show was earlier slated to launch in mid-0ctober but now the launch has been postponed to mid-November.” Guddi Maruti says, “I play a loud, dominating and manipulative character. My role is negative yet comic. It is a challenging role and I am having a great time playing it.”Let’s hope we have a great time watching it.
