TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor. We asked him about his passion for fitness and about his experience experience of shooting an ad with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

You are passionate about fitness and practice MMA. Please share your routine.

For me, fitness in not only physical fitness but also mental fitness. Nowadays, people are aware that fitness is all about being emotionally strong. Fitness is a huge word that is attached to a lot of things like discipline, consistency, injuries, falling down, and getting up.

I have been training myself for the past 12 years, and I have seen my graph go up and down. But one thing I am sure about is that I will never stop as running, mixed martial arts (MMA), and my workout. People nowadays say we have transformed ourselves, but there is nothing as such. In fact, fitness is about your lifestyle. It is not about going to the gym. It is about leading a good lifestyle and eating the right food. Maybe sometimes, there are people who are not physically strong but are happy in their lives. That does not mean they are not fit. In recent times, I have seen many good-looking people dying at a very early age. On the personal front, I try to balance physical, mental, and emotional fitness.

Speaking of MMA, are you inspired by Akshay Kumar or Vidyut Jamwal?

Recently, I was shooting an advertisement with Akshay Kumar Sir, and during the shoot, I told him, “Sir, I look up to you,” to which he replied, “You really look fit.” That day, I realized that I am on the same track. But yes, you can say that I take a lot of inspiration from Akshay Kumar. I believe I can do a lot of things. I would love to do roles similar to those played by Akshay Kumar.

Any message for your fans?

Always do everything with gratitude. I believe in this, and I want my fans to do so in their respective lives too.

Good luck, Abhishek!
