MUMBAI : Tusshar Kapoor is famous for playing the role of Lucky in Golmaal series. He has always made us laugh out loud with his performance in the franchise. Now, the actor is gearing up for his next release titled Maarrich in which he plays the role of a cop. Today, the trailer of the film was released at an event in Mumbai.

At the trailer launch, when Tusshar was asked if now we will get to see him in a Rohit Shetty cop film, the actor said, “When people think about Rohit and me, right now everybody just asks me when the next Golmaal will come. So, I don’t think it's easy to break out of something that has done so well in the past. When some amazing script comes, I am sure Rohit would want to work with me even in a different light. But, we can’t predict that yet.”

Talking about Maarrich, the film is directed by Dhruv Lather and also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Anita Hassanandani Reddy, Rahul Dev, and Dipannita Sharma. The movie is slated to release on 9th December 2022. With Maarich, Tusshar, and Anita’s Jodi is making a comeback after nearly a gap of two decades. Their pairing in Kucch To Hai was loved by one and all. 

Maarrich is Tusshar’s second film as a producer. The actor’s first production venture was Laxmii which starred Akshay Kumar in the lead role and it was released on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.
