Happy Birthday to Surendra Rajan, Madhura Naik, Vikramjeet Virk and Rajat Tokas

You necessarily do not have to celebrate on every birthday. Solitude may be bliss too on this blessed day. Veteran film and TV actor Surendra Rajan, who you had last seen in Bandini and gained via his brief stint in Munnabhai MBBs, is in Jabalpur on his birthday today (19 July 2013). He isn’t making merry in the conventional way but he is happy to have been flooded with phone calls and text messages. He would have loved to receive jazz and classical Indian music CDs and books as gifts. His dream vacation would be to Kerala. “As I am 75 years old and single, I would go on this trip all alone.” His birthday wish is to live a healthy life, do painting and sculpting. Pondering on his childhood birthdays he says, “At that time we wouldn’t celebrate birthdays by conventional cake cutting but in the Indian way.” Madhura Naik who you have seen in shows like Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath, Superdude ushered in her birthday last night at the Olive restaurant in Mumbai. She was gifted flowers, cakes, a bag and a book on Buddhism. Her dream birthday vacation will be to London with friends. The actress feels that her best birthday was two years ago when she had thrown a superhero theme party. “One hundred and fifty people had attended it dressed as various super heroes.” She had spent her childhood birthdays in Bahrain. She would travel a lot with her family to celebrate these special occasions. “As I am getting older my birthdays are getting quieter.” Vikramjeet Virk whom you saw on Shobha Somnath Ki not too long ago is celebrating his birthdays with his friends, family members and well wishers. He has been gifted cakes, watches and perfumes. He would have loved to gift himself an Audi Q7 car on this special day. His dream vacation would be to Iceland as he loves the country’s location on the globe. The actor’s best birthday was in his hometown in Karnal last year. “I celebrated it with my family and did many crazy things.” He feels a bit guilty while thinking of a birthday when the battery of his mobile phone died when he was in a late night movie show in Chandigarh. His friends who had turned up at his doorstep to celebrate couldn’t reach him and were waiting on. He arrived around 2 am to discover that they were at his home for quite some time. “Inadvertently I made them wait for such a long time. It wasn’t a bad birthday for me but not-too-nice for them.” The actor’s birthday wish is to be a famous Hollywood and Bollywood actor. Remembering his childhood birthdays he says, “They were fun filled celebrations with yummy food and chocolates.” We also called Rajat Tokas who is currently playing Akbar in Jodha Akbar to wish him Happy Birthday but his mobile was switched off. Tellychakkar.com wishes all the actors a great day ahead.
