Sahara One’s new offering Aakhir Bahu Bhi Toh Beti Hai is a story in which the bahus and betis are treated in a different manner. Set in Gorakhpur, UP, the mother-in-law Naulakha Devi (Prachee Pathak) sees her bahus (daughter-in-laws) in a very orthodox light and believes that they should be ruled with an iron hand and any change in the process will break the entire house. Payal Rajput who will be seen in the bahu’s avatar in the show says, “The sole reason of me taking up this show was that we have been seeing a lot of saas-bahu dramas but representing the same Jodi in a new format is something which will be very interesting. Though the saas-bahu saga of talking behind the back and gossiping is something which viewers like to watch, this show is something between saas and bahu with a twist.” Payal plays Sia who is bubbly, happy go lucky and an extrovert just like she is in her real life. In realty too she believes in the concept the show holds and that she would want to get married in a house where she is treated as a daughter and not a daughter-in-law. Talking about marriage she laughingly avers, “I have not thought about marriage as I have just started my career. Abhi toh films bhi karni hai. But whenever it happens, I would definitely like to have the love of two mothers, one of my own mother and the other from my mother-in-law.” Let’s see whether the viewers accept this new journey of the saas and bahu saga.
