Sara Khan opens up on being called "unprofessional" by the director of her upcoming movie Midsummer Midnight Mumbai

Well-known TV actress Sara Khan (Bidaai) is very upset at the allegations of unprofessionalism that the director Braj Bhushan of her upcoming film Midsummer Midnight Mumbai has levelled against her in a tabloid news report. “He is saying all this for I did not agree to romance on screen with the negative lead of the film M A Guddu, who is incidentally the producer of the film. I was not told this at first. I was under the impression that I would have on screen chemistry only with my boyfriend Paras (Chhabra) who is also the male lead. We were never given the script.” Continuing she says, “At first we were informed that Ratnagiri schedule was only for ten days. Later they kept extending it. It finally stretched up to a month.” “There were also lots of other technical problems during the shoot, they had budget issues too. Their makeup artist also pulled out and my makeup person was doing for all others. Eventually they paid him less and we were forced to fork out the rest of the charges.” What about the vanity van issue? “This was too much. In Mumbai all actors ask for vanity van, what wrong did I do? If you make me wear a tube top, I would expect privacy. They asked us to change along with other junior artists.” Hmm… Next Paras responded to the other charge of not reporting on time. “They are talking about the last day of shoot in Mumbai. They scheduled the shoot without cross checking with me, hence I could not come on time. I wrapped my other shoot quickly and reached there but by then they cancelled the shoot as they did want to pay overtime.” Here Sara added that, “One other reason that the director and producer have spoken out against us could be that I refused to do their next film. They wanted me to bring Karishma Kapoor at a budget of mere 5 lakh. Even I will not work at this low price, forget Karishma.” So what is the status of Midsummer Midnight Mumbai amidst all the controversy? “We have finished shooting, but dubbing is left. But now after this I am not sure, if I want to be associated with them. I have already signed two other films, details of which will be revealed soon. It was our big mistake to have trusted anyone on face value. We will not repeat the same mistake again.” Two sides of a coin...flip it and each side tells a different story. Which one is true and which one is not, only time will tell!!!
