Film Farm is venturing into regional television with its first regional production Mandala Don Ghadicha Dav on Star Pravah. The production house currently has Dil Se Diya Vachan on Zee and Uttaran on Colors. Producer Pintoo Guha says, “Namita Vartak, the creative producer of this show is handling it completely. Apart from her, the entire cast and crew is Marathi. We are working on a partnership here where we give them the infrastructure and the expertise and she works on the creative part. We have had a working relationship with the channel and they are comfortable with the idea of Film Farm working as an umbrella where we will share the profits with her.” On why they did not plan to do the show completely he says, “It wouldn’t have been fair on the audience if we had done it without understanding the language etc. We wanted someone who would understand the audience and give them what they want, someone who will be there 24 hours.” Mandala Don Ghadicha Dav is a story about two sisters where the elder one sacrifices for the younger one. Finally the story reaches a point where the elder sibling sacrifices for the younger sister’s mistake. Says Guha, “Yes, I would like to make a few more shows for the regional television.”
