Coming from a film family may mean you can take it easy on sets. And if your dad also happens to be the director of the movie, it’s a given that you will be pampered and cared for on sets unless you happen to be David Dhawan’s son. David who is directing his son Varun in ‘Main Tera Hero’ has the image of being a tough task master. Revealing this shade of David’s personality was Varun himself. Explaining that it was not a cakewalk to be directed by his own dad, Varun says, “ My dad’s not an easy person to work with. He is a strict man, a taskmaster. He is directing his 43rd film while it is my 2nd but there were definitely no concessions for me or anyone else. He is someone who likes to focus on his work during work hours. He believes in 'kaam se kaam rakho'. That way he is very professional. Of course, after work he likes to chill out and have fun with us but during work hours he’s strictly professional.” Varun elder sibling Rohit too comes across as extremely professional and is also known to be frugal when it comes to praising other. Says Varun, “Rohit is very selective when it comes to giving compliments. He will not praise you very easily. He is currently overlooking the mixing of the movie and I meet him at night and he says whatever he feels like. And I mostly discuss my flaws with him because I think he is the only person in my life who will tell me the truth.” Hmm…looks like all the men of Dhawan family excluding Varun need to loosen up a bit.
