Meet the four new kids
The loyal fans of Channel V’s Dil Dostii Dance, produced by Cinevistaas Ltd. have recently seen the entry of four new characters, exactly at the forefront of the entire affiliation drama. With the new kids entering, there will be lot of drama and of course, the inter personal equations between the characters will be important to watch and keep a track of. The coming tracks will see a lot of twists, and the creative team will make sure that the tracks of the already established characters will not get diluted in any way. Also, none from the existing gang will move out of Dil Dostii Dance. Tellychakkar.com has already talked about the four actors coming into the show. We now will give our readers an outline of what can be expected from these four characters in terms of their attitude and equation with others. First of all, Raghuvendra Pratap Singh, fondly known as Raghav, played by Sumedh Mudgolkar will be a natural dancer and charmer who will belong to a family of achievers. Being an aimless teenager, Raghu could never connect with his super strict guardian and grandfather Uday Pratap Singh. His life in St Louis will help him zero down on dance as the true career path and will also give a new meaning to his relationship with his grandfather. Raghav would be amused by Ishika’s simplicity and her small town roots, while Ishika would dislike and doubt him. On the other hand, Raghav would be friendly with Huma; he will not be able to stand Karma and it will be their rivalry that would come at the forefront when they would compete. Moving to Ishika Chakrovorthy played by Pratibha Paul, the girl would have shifted to Mumbai after the death of their grandparents. Her only anchor and support system would be Vishnu – her father’s childhood friend’s son. He would be everything for Ishika. With him, she will be at ease, but for the rest of the world she would be very uptight. Vishnu would care for her but he will also want Ishika to get out of her safety nest. Ishika would initially get intimidated by Karma, but later he would become her friend. She will secretly like Raghav for his looks but hate him for his flirtatious nature and would think he is one of those guys with no moral values. She will also find Huma very cold and unfriendly. Ishika’s journey in this show will be to grow from a super protected innocent girl to becoming a strong person who will no longer need an anchor to survive in the real world. It will be her new friends and dance that would help her do that. Karma Wangchuk played by Jaison Tham, will be a typical, aggressive teenager from a small town in Gangtok. He would want to make it big in dancing. He already would be a star in his town but he will want a bigger platform. A no nonsense guy who would be so focussed on his career that he would not know how to enjoy life at all. Karma would hate Raghav. Basically, he would hate all those people whom life served all good things on a platter. His relationship with Huma would be based on competition. From day one, both will aim for the top spot and eventually both will discover the other side of each other. Karma will like Ishika and feel protective about her. Karma will learn to understand that dreams can co-exist with love and friendship. Lastly, Huma Ali played by Anusua Chakravarthi would be living the dreams of her mother. Being a background dancer, Huma’s mother will desperately want her to shine and she would consider Huma as her last ticket to fame. Huma on the other hand, would approach dance with a cold hearted plan to make it big in life, but she will not love dance from her heart. She would not like Karma because he will be somewhat like her. She would consider him as the biggest threat. Raghav will be a friend to her, Karma being their common enemy. She will find Ishika unbelievable as her innocence and gullible attitude will be beyond her understanding. Huma’s journey in St Louis will make her see the world beyond the picture that the mother has portrayed, and would also lead to her discovering that dance is not a passport to fame but a love affair with art. She will also realize that dance is not about perfections and winning competitions, but it would be about moving to the tunes of the heart. This is how the four new characters would look like.
