Connect Twitter review: Nayanthara starrer receives a mixed response; netizens call it ‘average’

MUMBAI : Connect starring Nayanthara has been the talk of the town since the time the teaser was released. It’s a horror movie set against the backdrop of a lockdown. In the lockdown, Nayanthara’s daughter in the film performs a séance online and gets possessed. 
 
The teaser and the trailer grabbed everyone’s attention. But, it looks like the film has not impressed the audience much. The critic's reviews of the film have been mixed and even netizens are calling the movie average. Social media users are praising Nayanthara’s performance in it, but are complaining about fewer thrills and scares in the movie.

A netizen tweeted, “#Connect - Only the Sound Effects and BG scores are good that saves the film. There are a few thrilling elements that make us scared but because of the mediocre story it gets boring after some time. The screenplay is too slow and it could have been better. After a long time, a female-centric film of Nayanthara has hit the big screens, and it is the test of her stardom as, after the pandemic, it is the actress' first theatrical release which she is carrying on her shoulders. While the film is getting mixed reviews, let’s see what response it will get at the box office. 

Today, Connect has been released in Tamil and Telugu, and on 30th December 2022, the film’s Hindi dubbed version will hit the big screens.
