MUMBAI: After eighteen years of marriage, Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja aka Dhanush parted ways and announced their separation. This shocking piece of news broke everyone’s heart. They announced their separation on January 17, 2022. Now, the filmmaker has dropped the actor's name from her social media handles on Twitter and Instagram. The filmmaker even went on to change her name on her social media accounts.

Earlier there were reports that Aishwarya and Dhanush had decided to give their marriage a second chance, however the recent reports seem to say otherwise. A source close to the couple said, “Dhanush is not working on his differences with Aishwaryaa. They are separated and gone in different directions. They have made peace with the turn of events in their life, and accepted that they can’t be together.”

Aishwarya and Dhanush will only file for a divorce when either one of them decides to remarry. The source further said, “The buzz that they are trying to reconcile is wrong. They aren’t. When it comes to divorce, they have not filed it yet, so they are separated. There is no filing in the court. They won’t even file for divorce until and unless one of them wants to get married again, which is not the case at the moment.”

The couple have two sons Yatra and Linga together who they co-parent even though they are living separately. 

The source further said, “They don’t live together, but respect each other and share a cordial bond for their kids. They are busy raising their kids, and finding ways to co-parent. They are taking turns to keep their kids so that they don’t feel a void in their life. They are focusing on career, not personal life. They have moved on in their life, and love is not on their mind currently.”

Aishwarya and Dhanush jointly sent out a statement announcing their sepration;
