MUMBAI : Star Plus' show Imlie has been extremely interesting and the audience has been in awe of the drama.

Produced by Gul Khan, it stars Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani. The series is a loose adaptation of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Ishti Kutum. The narrative revolves around how Aditya lands at a village to report on a gangster and later, situations lead him to get married to Imlie while he is already committed to Malini for marriage. Since he cannot handle the situation well, he ends up getting married to Malini too.

Aparna is worried for Imlie as she very well knows that there are some misunderstandings between Aditya and Imlie. Aditya unfortunately again misunderstands Imlie when she signs the divorce papers.

Where Imlie is disappointed in Aditya after he assassinated her character in the newspaper, she thus signs the divorce papers choosing her self-respect. But sadly Aditya assumes that she really cheated on him and loves Aryan. And this is when Aparna takes Aditya on the radar. Aparna gives a shocking ultimatum to Aditya as she disregards him as son and announces that no matter if he divorces Imlie or not but she will always be her daughter.

As Aparna announces that Imlie will always be Tripathis daughter, she thus cuts off her ties with him.
