MUMBAI : Sony Sab’s 'Dhruv Tara' is a romantic drama that revolves around Dhruv and Tara, who are from two different eras. Tara, a princess from the 17th century, travels through time and arrives in the present day, where she meets Dhruv.

At the onset, the show unveils 17th century Princess Tarapriya (played by Riya Sharma) who is a secret Vaidya, her brother Prince Mahaveer (Krishna Bharadwaj), and their father, King Udaybhaan (Yash Tonk). Meanwhile, in the present day, Dhruv (played by Ishaan Dhawan) is seen in Agra near the Taj Mahal when an unidentified dupatta from the 17th century lands on him. The week also showcases how Tara’s mother Rani Kanupriya (played by Narayani Shashtri) advises Tara to travel into the 21st century to find a cure for her brother’s illness.

Previously, Dhruv assures Tara that despite challenging situations coming their way, he will stand by her and will cure her brother's illness. Tara feels emotional and happy.

Later, Susheela wants Dhruv and Tara to get married again, and Dhruv is helping Tara to get ready as a bride.

Sushila gives sindoor to Tara and reveals to her and Dhruv that she knew their marriage was fake. Dhruv and Tara get shocked while Sushila reveals that she was hoping to turn this fake marriage into a real one and so she encourages them for the same. However, Tara informs everyone in the Saxena family that she is engaged to someone. Dhruv promises that he will not let go of his love so quickly.

However, Tara bids goodbye to the Saxena family with a heavy heart. Tarun misleads Tara and is not ready to give her the book while Dhruv is collecting all the essential medical supplies from the hospital.

Later, Tara gets the Navrang Van book from Tarun due to which both Dhruv and Tara are happy. Tarun plays a trick and spikes Dhruv and tara’s drinks and so they fall unconscious.

Finally, Dhruv and Tara can run away from Tarun and the goons. On the other hand, Mahaveer announces in front of Senapati and Maharaj that Tarapriya is back.

Further in the story, Tara gets bitten by a snake, leaving Dhruv shocked and worried. Tara insists he gets his suitcase back from Tarun's goons. Dhruv gets angry and confesses that her life is more important to him than anything in this world.

Now, Dhruv agrees to go with Tara to the 17th Century. They both go looking for the portal that will lead them back.
