MUMBAI:Delving into the lives of two strong-willed women from two diametrically opposing societal settings, each inspirational in their respective worlds, Sony Entertainment Television brings viewers a captivating story with ‘Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum’. The show follows the journeys of Damayanti, the principled traditionalist matriarch of the royal Barot family based in Ranak and Surilii, a vibrant and modern thinking young girl.
Currently, Shivendra and Surilii's marriage is out in the open through media and this leads to the defamation of the Barot family. Raghav gets furious at Surilii, assuming that she is the one who sold the news of her marriage for cheap publicity.

Thus, a huge drama takes place when Raghav insults Surilii and furious Shiv slaps him hard on his face. Since Surilii doesn't want to see the brothers fighting because of her, she decides to leave the palace.
This puts Damayanti into a major fix as Shiv and Surilii both, take the a big decision of leaving the palace. Shiv is not ready to let Surilii leave without him and so, he stands with her.
