She gained immense fame in Mrinal Sen’s Ek Din Achanak where she played the wife of a professor who doesn’t return home. The role won her a National award for Best Supporting Actress.

Her long wait has finally paid off…..and how! Daljit Kaur aka Niyati of <em> Kulvaddhu</em> fame has been roped in for not just one, but two major shows. The first project is Star Plus' <em> Chuna Hain Aasmaan</em> - a sequel to <em> Saara Akaash</em>, opposite none other than the dashing Iqbal Khan and the second one's a thriller,<em> Ek Din Achanak</em> to be aired on a premiere channel.
