Vidya Balan named part of Cannes Jury

Vidya Balan is gung ho with the news that she has been made part of the nine-member jury of the 66th Cannes Film Festival that would be headed by Steven Spielberg. The others who will be part of the prestigious jury are, along with <em>Life of Pi</em> director Ang Lee, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, Oscar-winner Christophe Waltz, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, Scottish director Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil and Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.

Madhur Bhandarkar to be a part of Cairo fest jury

The Cairo International Film Festival has invited Madhur Bhandarkar to be part of the jury. Said an excited Bhandarkar, "I am delighted to be a part of the International Jury for the 35th edition of Cairo International Film Festival. I love the theme that they have - 'Positive thinking, revolution and freedom'. This is an honour, which I humbly accept." The 44-year-old director's last film was the Kareena Kapoor-starrer Heroine that released last September.
