MUMBAI: Web series are the next big thing in the industry and seem to be religiously followed by millennials. Thanks to the innovative and enormous amount of content for every age group, the audience for this medium is increasing with every second.

Award-winning music producer Meghdeep Bose is all set to showcase his work for a new web series titled Truth or Tamanna, which is musical drama.

After a 5-year-long tenure under his father, Meghdeep decided to move on and explore his dreams. He collaborated with artists like Mahalakshmi Iyer, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and Jerson Antony on various private projects.

Meghdeep shifted to Mumbai in 2013 and began working under Raju Singh as an assistant and arranger for various film and television scores.

In 2015, Amaal Mallik overheard Meghdeep’s work at YRF studios, Mumbai, and gave him the opportunity to arrange and produce the song Main Hoon Hero Tera for Hero. This helped Meghdeep earn a good reputation in the industry.

Subsequently, Amaal and Meghdeep collaborated on various popular songs like Tumhe Apna Banane Ka (Hate Story 3), Tu Bhula Jise (Airlift), Bol Do Na Zara (Azhar), and Jab Tak (M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story).

In just 3 years of being in Mumbai, he had successfully worked with various composers and musicians like Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Pritamda, Salim Sulaiman, Clinton Cerejo, Mikey McCleary, A Sivamani, Stephen Devassy, Arun Janya, and Shashi-Shivamm.

In 2016, Meghdeep signed his first film as a score composer—Enredados La Confusion (Spanish). It was released across Latin America, Central America, and Spain in 2017.

He has won several accolades for his work in the music industry: Music Producer of 2017 for Bol Do Na Zara at Indian Recording Arts Academy Awards (IRAA), Best Music Producer Film for Uff Ye Noor (Noor, 2018) and Best Music Producer Non Film for Tomar Holo Shuru (2018). He was also nominated in the Indian Wiki Media Digital Awards 2018 for Best Music in a web-series titled Black Coffee.

Truth or Tamanna, which features Vrushika Mehta, Priyanshu Jora, Kushaal Punjabi, and Sakshi Pradhan in lead roles, will stream from 20 July. This original series is produced by Viu and FRAMES.

About his association with the project, Meghdeep says, ‘The music is very crucial to the narrative of this series, and thus, it was a very intense phase that I went through while composing the scores for almost six months. The best part that I appreciate is neither Viu nor Frames, I didn’t have any interference during the music creation phase, and I was given absolute freedom to compose music for this series.’

Currently, Meghdeep is busy preparing for his upcoming projects Student of the Year 2, Salman Khan starrer Bharat, and a web series for an online channel.
