Zee TV’s popular magnum opus, Jodha Akbar produced by Balaji Telefilms, will soon bid adieu to its viewers. The show that had us hooked on to it for over three years will air its last episode on August 7. Of course we are going to miss our daily dose of grandeur and drama. The intriguing storyline

Jodha Akbar, set in the sixteenth century, is a love story about a political marriage of convenience between a Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodha. The show, rich in historical drama, twists and storyline, made for an interesting watch.

Jodha and Akbar’s chemistry

The right actors can take a show places, which was proved by the leads of this show. The soul of the TV show, Jodha Akbar, is said to be sizzling the chemistry between the lead actors, Paridhi Sharma aka Jodha and Rajat Tokas aka Akbar.

Stellar performances

Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma become household names, thanks to their brilliant acting. Be it Akbar’s majestic spin on the legendary king or Jodha’s feisty yet elegant streak, the two put their hearts and souls into their characters. In fact, other actors like Ravi Bhatia, Heena Parmar, Chetan Hansraj, and Ashwini Kalsekar were equally stunning.

Historical fix

From the ornate sets to rich, period-appropriate costumes to dazzling jewellery, everything on the show looked genuine and classy. We picked up many fashion tricks from the show too!

Action-packed drama

Apart from the obvious love story, the series also had upper hand on action sequence. From the sword fighting to horse riding, actors have done a commendable job in lending authenticity to their roles.
