If you are a kid from the ‘90s, then you must read this article. For it will take you back in time when getting tickled was about seeing Tom& Jerry beat the guts out of each other or flexing your muscles in front of the mirror after watching He-Man. Yes, we are talking about the classic cartoons from the above era which have left an indelible mark on the minds of all of us. Who would not want to sit back and re watch the episodes of Duck Tales, The Jungle Book, Scooby Doo, Talespin, Aladdin and many more.

He-Man: Do you remember a muscled cartoon character screaming out loud ‘I have the power.’ Well, this powerful man who fought the evil forces of Skeletor to defend the kingdom of Eternia and the secrets of Castle Grayskull is He-Man. He-Man is the secret identity of Prince Adam. What connected us to He-Man was that Prince Adam a lazy boy in real life actually was a powerful warrior. His sword and the words …. ‘I am the Power of Grace God actually worked magically to transform him into He-Man and his coward green tiger into a battle cat.

Duck Tales: Whoever imagined that a duck would lead a life of luxury? But, Uncle Scrooge did. He was seen as the richest duck in the world. He also faced constant threat from Beagle boys and Magica De Spell. However, his grand nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie always helped him save the day with their notorious acts. At times they also miffed Uncle Scrooge but at the end of the day they lived like one big happy family. Over all this show was adventurous and cute at the same time.

Chip ‘n’ Dale: This was the tale of notorious chipmunks Chip and Dale who kept troubling Donald Duck and Pluto in some way or the other. What fascinated us most about this cartoon was the characters’ tiny appearance but strikingly sharp intellect. Well, Dale was a bit duh with a big red nose and Chip was indeed very smart. The cartoon show was liked so much that they appeared in various Disney animated movies.

Captain Planet and the Planeteers: This one is an environment friendly show that has one superhero Captain Planet but he is created by the combined power of five rings in the hands of five youngsters. These young minds called Captain Planet only when earth would be in trouble. The powers of common kids creating a powerful superhero did give wings to a lot of young kid’s imaginations. In fact, kids even played Captain Planet games in their localities; such was the popularity of this show.

Aladdin: It’s a rag to rich story told in a beautiful way with the help of a magical lamp from which pops out a Genie. Interestingly, the Genie can do anything and everything that his owner asks him to. However, the tale also has a love story attached to it. Aladdin falls in love with Jasmine who is a Princess. He is also seen fighting various demons and overcoming obstacles to stay with his love in most of the series.
