On Promise Day, TV stars talk about the promises they have broken
Excitement has reached its peak. Three more days to go for Valentine’s Day, but before you go out on a date with your Valentine, you have to assure your love that you will always be there for her/him. Maybe that’s why ‘Promise Day’ falls exactly three days prior to this Lover’s Day. Well, there is saying that promises are meant to be broken and somewhere we have all gone through that phase in our lives. So let’s ask your favourite TV stars if they have ever broken any promises of their loved ones. Jay Soni: Well, there is no specific incident that I can recall as I was a complete brat in my childhood days and breaking promises was a not big deal then. But now if I happen to break a promise, I make sure to confess about it later. However I never break promises of my mom and now of my fiancé Pooja. Kratika Sengar: Frankly speaking, I have never broken a promise of anyone till date. If I am not sure about anything, I don’t promise, but if at all I have made a promise I make sure I do fulfill it. Vishal Malhotra: Hmm! There is one incident that I would like to share. I was hosting a live match of IPL and had promised my friends that I will scratch my nose while being in front of the camera. But I was so involved in the interview that I forgot to do so. Yes, I have broken promises, but nothing important. Giaa Maanek: I think somewhere we take our parents for granted. When in my childhood, I used to promise my mom and dad that I will score good marks in my exams but somehow could not reach my goal. And off late, I had promised to attend one event. Side by side, I got a call from a friend of mine who invited me for her engagement. I was in a fix as I had two events to attend on the same day. Due to prior commitment, I had to attend the event and in turn had to ditch my friend. But later when I met her I excused myself saying sorry to her. Shaheer Sheikh: Nobody is perfect in this life and somewhere we all break promises although we don’t do it purposely. Recently I promised my friends that I will go out with them to watch a movie but due to my busy schedule I could not make it. Dimple Jhangiani: I believe promises are meant to be kept but have learnt this over the time. My learning came from a time when I had broken a promise that I made to my own self. I think all this starts with you; if you don’t respect promises made to your own self then it is indeed difficult to keep promises made to others.
