The wise man has said, "It hurts to say goodbye to someone you love but it’s the best for both of us to move on."

Keeping the saying in mind, two beautiful souls have decided to part ways than make their relationship rusty, is what we have been told.

Wondering who we are referring to? Well, none other than Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel....shocking!!! Isn't it?

The love story of Karishma and Upen, participants in Bigg Boss last year, is quite fascinating. But the affection is a thing of past with sources informing us that the two have apparently broken up.

Wonder what went wrong in this beautiful fairy tale!!!

Here is a lowdown of the 'love gone wrong' tale...

Karishma was dating restaurateur Rishabh Choksi and was all besotted with him, something which she was pretty vocal about during her stay in the house of controversy.  However, there was twist in the tale.

Upen grew fondness for leggy Miss Tanna and romance painted television screens. The maker (Endemol India) minted the scenario and made the two profess their love for each other on national television.

Post Bigg Boss, the couple swiftly moved into another reality show, Nach Baliye. Apart from showcasing their impressive dance moves, the two gained eyeballs for their lovey dovey gestures. The famous UpMa of a jodi, stood out as Baliyes and won hearts.  

The world was also in for a special surprise when Upen popped the "magical" question and with Karishma giving a nod, the couple got engaged on the show.

Their chemistry and bond got them another project-MTV Love School. The duo was seen helping estranged couples in sorting relationship issues, a prospect which seems quite ironical today with the two falling apart.

Sources shared 'professional insecurities' hit the lovebirds. Karishma was high on 'work offers' with Upen fishing for professional commitment. The disparity led to tiffs and arguments.

Not the ones to deal with a tumultuous affair, the duo sat together and decided to part ways than continue with the hurt and hate.  As per sources, Upen-Karishma officially called their relationship off and have decided to focus on work, for now.

When we called Karishma, she sounded amused and said, "Every couple has issues and fights and they do overcome.  No relationship is perfect and I do not even want one, as then it would be too boring. We are pretty much together and I don't think anyone has the right to comment on our career matters."

Upen did not revert to our calls and messages till the time of filing the story.
