Tellychakkar caught up with Aditya and though there definitely is a change in his demeanour, the youngster still is humble at heart. Excerpts: You don't appear to be in good health. What's wrong? Yes. I have been suffering from throat infection. Thus, I'm keeping quiet today. So, did you take a day off from L'il Champs? No. The show has to go on and it's been going great thus far. I've consistently given my 100% every week thus I'd like to believe that the channel will be happy with me. L'il Champs apart what else is happening for you? L'il Champs will get over in February and thereafter I'll be travelling along with the kids for a world tour. Upon my comeback, I'll start working on my music album. I've also bagged a couple of films. Films! As a playback singer? No. As a lead actor. Can you talk about your music album and the film projects? Unfortunately, I can't reveal you anything. I will do so at the right time. As a singer yourself, ideally you would have expected to set a mark in Bollywood as a professional playback singer and not an actor. Throughout my life, I've never planned anything. Besides, I've never looked upon myself as a singer per se. I'm capable enough of doing twenty things. For me, it's not about the type of work but I've believed in giving my 100 % to whatever I work undertake. Some people will oppose to this because they are jealous. If a person is multi-talented then one should respect it rather then trying to bring him/her down. I'm open to such criticism. Besides, I'm too young to be bogged down by such talks. Star sons are always subject to intense public scrutiny. Often without their father or mother, they would have never made it to Bollywood. Comment. It's true that father's clout enables star sons get their first break. However, your father will only help you in getting that first break thereafter you will get work only if you deserve. Such criticism holds merit when you look at the prevalent scenario in Bollywood. I guess barring Hrithik Roshan none of the star sons have achieved surmountable success. So what ails such star sons? Firstly, it is not their fault that they are born to a superstar father or mother. The challenge for us is to create our own identity but often we are made to live in the shadow of our fathers. Also, some of them fail to have a measured head. However, there's no harm in taking your father's help to get a break. After all, such a thing happens in all walks of life. Don't we see an engineer's son becoming an engineer or doctor's son becoming a doctor? So, why should Bollywood be looked upon differently. Unlike, the others, you've had a great start to your career. In fact, you've already being hailed as a superstar. Therein lies the problem. We make people superstars overnight. I'm just an anchor and as haven't achieved nothing but people are already calling me a superstar. Fortunately, I'm matured enough to not let such things go to my head. Coming back to television, were you offered roles for the daily shows? I'm always taken aback when such offers come my way. There have been offers for daily soaps but I've turned them down vehemently. People are of the notion that I'm here to be a television star. Finally, how is it going for you on L'il Champs? I'm enjoying myself. But more than my satisfaction, I'm overwhelmed with the quality of our contestants. I can challenge any one who can prove that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa doesn't churn out the best talent.. They've done it for the past 15 years and it's precisely this talent that keeps the show going. The judges and the host are secondary. I've always said that I'm not the anchor of a show but Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Without it, I wouldn't be standing here today.
