Tell us about your last show Jamegi jodi.com on 9x which went off air.
It was a comedy show. It was also on the romantic side. But it was more comedy and less romantic. A truly contemporary, fresh and youthful offering for the viewers. Jamegi Jodi.com was an interesting story where both the parties have different values and since they are neighbours there was lot of friction between them. The story took an interesting turn as the love blossomed.
Is it true that you are doing two shows with Endemol?
Nothing concrete has been decided. Yes, talks are on for shows but nothing has been finalised.
Earlier you had said that you would like to work in movies when the right time comes. When is the right time coming?
Well I would definitely like to work in films but I can't say what the right time would be. It can come any time. The right time has not come so far.
Any plans to start a family?
No. right now there are no such plans. My wife and I want to focus on our careers and we are busy with our work. We are not thinking about it as of now.
Can the audience expect to watch you and your wife together on the screen for one more time after Nach Baliye?
Yes. I would love to work with her but we have not been getting the right opportunity. If such a thing works out audience would definitely get to see us together on the screen.
Do you think there is a scope for male actors on TV in this era of women-oriented shows?
Of course there is a scope for male actors. There is a scope for everyone on television these days. I believe that both male and female actors enjoy equal opportunities on television.
Have you ever felt that your character has got overshadowed by a leading female character?
That has never happened with me. I have always got the recognition that I deserved. For instance, my character was quite popular in Sanjivani.
Earlier, you have been accused many times of cold behaviour or tiffs with your co-stars. What do you have to say about that?
You can ask about it to my co-stars. That’s not true. I never had any issues with my co-stars. I share cordial relations with them.
Why have you been so selective in choosing roles?
I have not been selective. The producers have been very selective in choosing me. So it is the other way around.
