Money is very important in life; it’s particularly essential to live a good lifestyle. Are you an impulsive buyer? I am not a shopaholic; but yes there if there is something which I really need, I make sure I buy it irrespective of its cost being on the higher side. What are the investments that you have made? Since I now live in Mumbai, I have bought a flat for my parents in Kolkata closer to where my relatives stay; this was my first investment. I have also bought a flat for myself in Karjat lately. What has been your most expensive purchase? My house in Kolkata has been my most expensive purchase so far. Do you feel financially secure? I am not a materialistic person. I do not act to make money; on the other hand I make money so that I can work more. So yes I do feel financially secure. Who handles your expenses? I handle my own expenses. What was your first salary? My first salary was when I earned Rs. 2000 as a sales executive when I was in my 9th grade. How much money do you carry every day? Apart from plastic money, I think it is very essential to carry liquid cash of around Rs. 5000 in case of an emergency. Your advice to new investors? Apart from the regular investments which are necessary to be make like investing in a LIC policy and the share market, property investments top my priority chart.
