MUMBAI:Devi Parvati arrives at Kashi Vishwanath Temple with Shiva and devotees, demanding Mahadev emerge to grant their wishes. She vows not to perform the Jyotirlinga ritual until their pleas are answered. Shiva coaxes Mahadev from the sacred lingam, and the divine presence awes the devotees, who chant “Har Har Mahadev!”
The devotees request Kashi be declared a sacred place of liberation (Mukti). Mahadev initially dismisses their focus on death, but Parvati insists, linking her ritual to their boon. Amidst this, the arrogant Swarth interrupts, demanding a duel. Mahadev delays the fight, sending Parvati to retrieve a lost earring—a seemingly simple task with profound consequences.
Upon her return, Mahadev uses the earring to ignite a sacred fire, declaring the site Manikarnika Ghat—the gateway to liberation. He proclaims Kashi as the “City of Death,” promising Mukti to those who pass there. As devotees prepare a funeral rite, Swarth impatiently awaits battle, while Shukracharya senses Mahadev’s deeper plan. The stage is set for divine conflict and eternal transformation.
