MUMBAI:   As Indian Premier League 2023 is around the corner, everyone is getting hyped up to support their favourite teams. Ahead of the auctions, the Sunrisers Hyderabad are in a seemingly good place, having a comparatively bigger budget than the other 10 teams. They have released big names like captain Kane Williamson and batsman Nicholas Pooran. They are now in a very favourable position to acquire some good talent on December 23. But most importantly, they already have a set of good players that almost make up a playing XI team by themselves.

There are a few players who weren't entirely involved in the 2022 campaign of the team, who might have more responsibility this time around. These are the three SRH players who might have a much bigger role to play in the upcoming IPL.

Rahul Tripathi

Rahul Tripathi has been in and around India's ODI and T20I squads without receiving much recognition for it, and is yet to be a part of international matches. He has been regarded as a very underrated player for whichever team he has played for in the IPL. The spirited batsman has grabbed the attention of audiences worldwide with his resolve and commitment.

As SRH has released powerhouses like Williamson and Pooran, the burden to play better will be on Tripathi so that he makes a big impact. He is most likely to open the batting order, paired along with Abhishek Sharma. Although, he is more than capable of coming in the middle order as well and making the most of the post-powerplay overs.

Based on his performance in this season, Tripathi could be suddenly catapulted into India's playing XI in the shorter formats.

Kartik Tyagi

Kartik Tyagi was on the side-lines for most of the IPL 2022, some of it due to his injury. The cricketer hasn't taken any steps ever since his fabulous U19 World Cup campaign for India. SRH opted to field Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik and T Natarajan ahead of him during the last season, but Tyagi is surely going to play a bigger role in the side during the upcoming IPL 2023.

Tyagi has been under the radar for a long time, but he has the capability to become a world-class bowler. But hopefully, a breakthrough campaign with SRH in this upcoming IPL is very possible.

Fazalhaq Farooqi

Hailed as one of the best T20 bowlers worldwide, Fazalhaq Farooqi is an underrated player who hasn't been appreciated enough for his skills, even by his country. The Afghanistan national team made him a regular member of the starting XI after a very long time, and ever since, the pacer hasn't turned back.

Farooqi is competent enough to swing the new ball both ways, and bowls at a decent clip. The left-armer has an exceptional ability to throw yorkers, and deliver deceptive slower balls.

SRH have the freedom to play this overseas fast bowler, like they did in IPL 2022 with Marco Jansen and others. Farooqi has had a very significant growth since then and might possibly be in the running to play his first complete IPL season.
