Do not fret! This incident happened years back and his father had a genuine reason too. He wanted him to quit cricket out of concern.

Well, Virender, who wears multiple hats, developed a liking for cricket at an early age.

Report has it that his father tried to end his cricketing aspirations when he was 12 after he broke a tooth during a cricket match.

However, he managed to escape the ban with the help of his mother and the rest is history.
