Aakash Aath launches new musical show ‘Trak Record’

Trak Record

Time to welcome a new musical show!

Aakash Aath is going to air a new musical non-fiction show titled ‘Trak Record’, which aims to represent and revive the spirit of the golden era of music through melodious tracks but in a completely new format.

The show will see notable ace singers like Sidhu, Jojo and singers of today’s generation like Kinjal and others croon old songs in a new way.

Talking about Trak Record, Debjit Roy, music director, said, “This is a show where we will be experimenting with the songs of 70s, 80s and 90s. Without disturbing the original songs, we will present them in a complete new way. We cannot bind the songs of these periods in a particular time frame. They can be heard any time.”

Readers, can you guess what the other interesting part of this programme is?

Well, the show will be hosted by an ‘invisible anchor’.

Supriyo Ghosh, director of the show, explained, “We all know that an anchor is a very important person who provides stability to a show by binding all the important elements together. However, it will have no anchor unlike other programmes of the channel. The singers will briefly talk about the songs that they are going to perform.  And a ‘voice’ will coordinate the show like by introducing the singer.”

When asked whose voice the audience will get to hear, he revealed saying, “RJ Roy”.

Popular singer Jojo, who will be seen in some of the episodes crooning melodious tracks, is excited about the show.

She opined, “I found the format quite interesting. A lot of experiments will be done with the songs with main focus on the usage of musical instruments. The show is for everyone but I feel Gen-Y will get attracted to it the most. The show is inspiring and cool.”

So guys, gear up for the musical programme!

It will start from 4 August, airing every Thursday to Saturday, 9:30 pm.
