The schedule of a television actor is said to be quite intense. How has your experience been?

Oh, absolutely it’s extremely hectic, especially when you're part of a daily soap that airs seven days a week. You're practically living on set. It consumes so much of your personal time that it becomes your life. But interestingly, after a while, your mind and body begin to adjust. It becomes your new normal.

There’s a common sentiment in the acting community that being out of work is one of the toughest phases to endure. Do you agree?

I couldn’t agree more. It’s mentally exhausting when you’re at home without any projects, particularly if you’re facing financial stress. Thankfully, I’m in a peaceful space right now. I’ve reached a point where I prefer to be selective. In the beginning, it’s all about taking up work to build your name. But later, when projects wrap up, you’re left wondering when the next opportunity will come. That uncertainty can lead to depression. But eventually, what matters most is your mental wellbeing. I just want to stay in a happy and content space.

Have you dealt with rejection during auditions, and how do you cope with it?

Rejection is part of the job we all go through it. The real frustration comes when there’s no feedback. Sometimes, you walk out thinking you’ve nailed the audition, and then you’re suddenly told you didn’t make it, without any explanation. If it's a matter of budget, I can understand and even try to work around it. But the silence, the lack of response that’s what really gets to you. It’s disheartening when you’re left completely in the dark.

Despite the challenges, Aakash remains one of television’s most beloved talents. With his positive outlook and determination to do quality work, fans eagerly await his next appearance on the small screen.
