MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi, who is an A list producer in the TV industry, with shows such as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupamaa, turns a year older on December 3 (Thursday). The cast of both his shows have planned a cake cutting ceremony for him on his birthday.

Speaking of his shows, his storytelling techniques with the most real and relatable content always strike the right chord with the audience. While his show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been ruling the audience's heart for over 11 years, Anupamaa, which went on air in July this year, has been topping the TRP charts since its debut. The latter is the story of a simple homemaker and her struggles, which the ace producer has projected in the most beautiful way on-screen, so much so that every woman in India sees herself in the lead character.   

So on his birthday, the cast of Anupamaa has come together to wish him a very happy birthday and also thank him for bringing Anupamaa into their lives. Here's what they said:

Sudhanshu Pandey: First, I would like to wish him a very happy and blessed birthday. I want to wish him happiness for his family, friends, and may he be blessed with both these most amazing entities of our lives forever. My message to him is that he is a great man, he has got a great heart and he has been blessed by the almighty. I would just like to say that he has been blessed because of the way he is, because of the kind of heart he has and he will always have blessings coming his way all his life. I hope there will be innumerable celebrations in his life and innumerable happy birthdays in the future. 

Rupali Ganguly: My wish for him is for him to remain healthy and happy always dil se bahut saari duaye nikalti hai Rajan Ke leeye. He is such a good human being, a nice person, and a simple man. He is hands-down the most approachable producer. But more than that, he is a special person in my life. I know if god forbid, if I get into any kind of trouble, I know Rajan will be standing behind me, taking care of me and covering up for me. He is such a wonderful human being. My wish for him comes from the bottom of my heart that may he just be happy, healthy, may he keep producing some phenomenal shows. May he take his name and production house name higher and higher. There are other production houses with whom I have worked with and the workers, subordinates work out of fear. But people work for Rajan because they love him. That is the biggest earning that anyone can get. I think Rajan deserves all the happiness, love, and health to enjoy all this. I truly am very attached to him. Not only because he has given me Anupama, my life-changing show, and his favourite show too, but Rajan is such a nice human being. I am growing attached to him more and more by the day. From the bottom of my heart, I wish him love, luck, happiness, success, and health to enjoy all this.

He is a man who can inspire people to put in their best for him. A man who can inspire people to love him so much, not because he gives them employment but because he is such a nice human being and the way he cares for his people. He is a phenomenal storyteller. His shows have been path-breaking and running for record-breaking time. The most important quality is that he is the only producer who cares for animals the way he does. There was this simple call during lockdown that DKP will bear the cost of feeding our animals. The words, ‘our animals’ said so much about him. The man who cares about the voiceless innocents on the set. The dogs on the set are an integral part of Anupamaa. You see a lot of videos with them and you know they are treated with respect. You know no one can mistreat them in front of Rajan. I am a major animal person and apart from all the fantastic qualities that he has, his care and his love for animals are very special to me. 

Madalsa Sharma Chakraborty: Rajan Sir, I want to wish you a very happy birthday! May the Almighty shower his blessings upon you. May all your wishes and desires are fulfilled and you be super successful in life always. You are a benchmark for all other production houses. You are so humble, so caring, so grounded and yet commanding, firm and demanding which is how you get the best work done. You are like a father figure who loves all his children equally. You are an inspiration to all of us. My love and respect grow more and more for you since I have known you.
