After Drashti, Ranvir also to get kicked out of Jhalak?

Ranvir Shorey and Drashti Dhami
It’s FIFA season and Colors is enjoying the kicking game, it seems. The Hindi GEC's favourite girl, Drashti Dhami got a shocker of her life when she got replaced (read: kicked out) overnight for her terrible hosting histrionics in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 7. The lady is a part of the channel’s fiction show Madhubala, but that too is wrapping up soon. Sad for Drashti fans, for it will take some time for her to get back on screen. But industry insiders say that Drashti might have been offered or rather promised a show on Colors (aah…the carrot and stick approach, it is). Well, Drashti is gone and Manish Paul is in (a development first reported exclusively by Tellychakkar.com), is public knowledge now. But our sources have also told us that the other host Ranvir Shorey might also be headed for the exit. “Ranvir too has not received a good response from viewers. But then the argument is that Drashti was non-responsive to his jokes. The channel might for sometime check out the pairing of Manish and Ranvir. But there have been rumours of him too getting the axe.” It is rather strange that the channel and the production house (BBC) creatives would go ahead casting faces without checking their ability to strike a rapport and connect on screen and with home audiences. Resorting to trial and error is not a good way to function in the fickle television business. Moving on, we have also learnt that eliminated contestant of this season VJ Andy might replace Ranvir. Indeed there is a lot of buzz going around that the colourful guy will get a shoo-in. We tried reaching Ranvir - with no luck. However, Ranvir and his friends and fans have been resorting to twitter abuse against Tellychakkar.com, despite the fact that we are advocating that he be allowed to stay on. Yes, Andy’s publicist denied any such development. A Colors spokesperson confirmed that Drashti’s had been replaced by Manish, but rubbished talks of Andy replacing Ranvir. Well, too much is happening off screen on the Jhalak shooting stage. Enough to keep us on our feet just like the contestants on the show.
