Ali Mercchant to re-enter Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

There's good news for the ardent fans of Ali Mercchant. The handsome lad, who has not been seen on the small screen for many months now, will reenter Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai aired on Star Plus. This will be the fifth time that the hunk will enter the daily as Rituraj, Naitik's (Karan Mehra) cousin brother. And Ali is extremely happy to be back on the show, “The production house is like family to me and it is always good to be working with Rajan Sir.” The star got a call from Rajan Shahi three days back and has started shooting for the series from today, 14 February 2012. Prior to this, the hunk was last seen in Imagine's Looteri Dulhan, "All this while I was looking after my dad's construction business. Apart from that, I also anchored Gladrags Mega Model and Manhunt last year," Ali says of his hiatus. "My character is very practical, while Naitik is emotional," he says of his character in comparison to that of Karan. In case you are wondering what will happen once Ali's character enters the current storyline, then here’s the answer. "Whenever Rituraj enters the picture,competition takes place between Naitik and him. This time around the same will happen." Since today is Valentine's Day, we couldn't help asking what Ali’s plans are for the day of love. "I am single but I want to focus on my career as of now, I have no plans for today."
