MUMBAI: ALTBalaji & ZEE5 Premium's much-awaited show ‘Mum Bhai’ has been making all the right noises amongst viewers owing to its gripping and entertaining trailer along with its stellar star cast. The protagonist of the series, Bhaskar Shetty essayed by the dashing and debonair Angad Bedi, has been receiving a lot of praise for the portrayal of an honest cop, and a criminal’s best friend.

Angad believes that the show, conceptualized by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Ekta Kapoor, worked as an added advantage for the series as the duo has given a host of superhit films based on the cop and gangster genre in Bollywood before.

Speaking about his experience working with Ekta, Angad says, “Ekta has a good knack in what will work with the masses, and she has the ability, to take that story and make it big by tapping into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Through Mum Bhai, we are targeting everyone, the urban as well the rural, and EK has the ability, to balance it both extremely well. Another great thing about her is that she also gives space to her directors, giving them the reigns of the show while allowing them to showcase their film-making prowess to the best of their abilities.”

Adding on, Angad also congratulated Apoorva Lakhia, who he believes, has done a phenomenal job with his team of writers in making the show what it is today.

All set to stream on ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Premium today at 6:00 pm, Mum Bhai is a crime drama that will dive into the Mumbai underworld. The narrative revolves around the friendship between a cop and a criminal, set in the milieu of Mumbai’s underbelly from the late eighties to early 2000.
