As per the recent promo, in the upcoming episodes, Trilochan kaka will learn about Bondita hitting puberty. Hence, he will be keen on making Anirudh and Bondita consummate their marriage. In order to ensure the same, Trilochan feeds an ayurvedic sweet to Anirudh so that he loses control and consummates his marriage with Bondita.
Well, this promo and the track of the show have received a mixed response from the fans. While a section of fans are elated that the makers are highlighting such a bold concept that existed during the pre-independence era, others are not liking the kind of exposure that actress Aurra Bhattnagar is receiving while enacting the scenes.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Pallavi Mukherjee, who plays the character of Sampoorna in the show, and asked her about the promo receiving negative feedback. She said, “Barrister Babu is a story set in the pre-independence era when India was quite an orthodox country and the women had many restrictions. The society was also quite regressive. After dealing with the menstruation track with such grace, the makers are now highlighting yet another ritual that was followed during the 1930s. After a girl hit puberty, she was expected to consummate her marriage and produce the heir of the family. This is a fact. The promo is receiving negative feedback because of the ritual that was so regressive in that period of time, while the audience should rest assured as the track will not focus on Anirudh-Bondita’s consummation; it will rather focus on how Anirudh will deal with this ritual and change the mindset of people, like he has always done in the show.”
The actress added, “I want to assure fans that the track is super interesting and engaging. It will be fun for them to know how Anirudh will face the situations and overcome the same. All I can say is that viewers will have a fun ride."
